Meeting on a monthly basis, this committee represents the Chamber by exhibiting the highest degree of professionalism, knowledge and integrity to our members and the business community. Ambassadors serve as the greeting arm of the Chamber to promote new member participation and retention.
Committee members focus on implementing strategies and programs that will increase the value of membership as well as membership retention. They will also add new, innovative benefits, making the membership value even greater than before.
Grapes for Grades
Committee members stage a wine tasting, gourmet food and hot jazz event that benefits seniors from Hollywood’s public high schools. Last year’s event raised over $22,000 in scholarships.
The Chamber’s annual golf tournament, which is now in its 27th year, draws 144 golfers from all around the greater Hollywood area. Committee members, who most have a love for the game, help produce an event that promises a sun-filled fun day at one of Hollywood’s beautiful golf courses.
Sunday in the Park
Sunday in the Park is held annually in ArtsPark in Downtown Hollywood, and the event is open to the public. Committee members help organize one of Hollywood’s largest outdoor business extravaganza. Featuring a wine tasting, food sampling, a Kidz Korner area and business expo. This Chamber signature event ensures that there is something for everyone!
Two of these groups meet weekly with an additional group meeting every other week in an effort to further business relationships amongst chamber members. Each group consists of only one individual representing a particular business category, ensuring a monopoly of sorts for business within that category.
As alumni of the Leadership Hollywood program, committee members are responsible for creating hands-on programs allowing participants to see systems up close, work together and garner a unique knowledge of the area’s resources and services. Committee members will also develop their own leadership potential.
The Chamber’s Trustee committee is a group of committed businesses and organizations that take a leadership role in advancing the Chamber’s mission. By playing an essential role to accelerate business growth and prosperity in the community, this group schedules quarterly meetings and events featuring keynote speakers from diverse industries.
This acronym, which stands for Women Owners Managers Executives Network, defines a dynamic group of female business professionals dedicated to furthering the careers of its gender through a regularly scheduled series of luncheons featuring informative speakers. Members of this committee meet on a regular basis to plan these luncheons, which sell-out quickly and typically result in standing room only!
