A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

The Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is postponing all “In person events” until March 23rd, 2020. The decision to cancel was made in an abundance of caution due to concerns over COVID-19 and the state of emergency declared by Broward County. We will reevaluate the situation on Friday, March 20, 2020 for the rest of the month. Our challenge is we don’t know when the spread of COVID-19 infections will stop. This is uncharted territory, so we are planning for the worst and hoping for the best. Therefore, now is the time to review emergency and contingency plans.

In addition, we are currently working with the City of Hollywood’s Office of Communications, Marketing and Economic Development to provide businesses with information, resources and educational programs prevalent to sustaining the business community. All updates for programs, events, resources, and community information will be available on our website – hollywoodchamber.org/ghcc-business-alerts.

We are monitoring the development of COVID-19 and we are taking the necessary precautions for the safety and well-being of our community. We are working closely with local and state officials and remain vigilant in following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Florida Department of Health guidelines. All members are encouraged to take preventative actions to help stop the spread of germs, such as hand washing, social distancing, and staying home if you are feeling sick.
