EMERGENCY ORDER 20-21

GUIDELINES

COMPLIANCE IS KEY

  • BROWARD COUNTY, FLWhile Broward County has been cautious and judicious with the reopening of business activity, the latest statistics clearly demonstrate that success at controlling the spread of the virus depends upon business and resident compliance with reopening guidelines and restrictions.

     

    Accordingly, County Administrator Bertha Henry issued Emergency Order 20-21 on July 8, 2020 which rolls back some business openings, limits restaurant dining hours and increases penalties for those businesses violating the Emergency Order. It goes into effect on Friday, July 10th.

  • BELOW IS A BREAKDOWN OF SUBJECTS IN NEWEST EXECUTIVE ORDER    

Section 2:  Closures

  • Closed indoor movie theaters
  • Restates closure of bars, night clubs, etc., including hookah bars and billiards halls and clubs
  • Permits limited use of banquet halls and function space per Attachment 13, Section A.7
  • Closed strip clubs, swingers’ clubs, and most adult entertainment establishments 

 

Section 3:  Facial Coverings

  • Restates facial coverings requirements for greater clarity
  • All Attachments modified as necessary to reflect restated facial covering requirements

 

Section 4:  Restaurants and Food Establishments

  • Updates the Attestation Form required to be submitted (online link)
  • Extends mandatory minimum closures by 72 hours for each subsequent violation

    Section 5:

    • Extends on-premises food/alcohol/dining prohibited hours to 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
    • Limits party size to 6 persons (10 if all from same household)
