A WORD FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the
business community have celebrated our educators for more
than 25 years!

The Chamber recognizes that a critical ingredient in
economic development is a deep pool of educated workers,
strong neighborhoods, and, of course, good schools, the
basis of great communities and civil society.

We are living and working amid a global transformation, and
the Hollywood business community welcomes an active role
in strengthening standards to improve education and
supporting schools that deliver inclusive, high-quality
learning.

It is critical that we all participate in workforce development
by supporting preschool education programs and by
working together to create job-readiness programs for
students. Teachers play a crucial role in influencing children’s
personalities and shaping their futures. The best teachers
provide young people with a solid educational foundation
and the encouragement they need to persevere and
succeed in their endeavors. By steering students in the right
direction, great teachers enable them to become proud,
productive members of society and serve as the next
generation of leaders. The education system’s investment in
our local workforce is one of our greatest levers for progress.

Congratulations to all our educators and the people that
support them and to all our Teachers of the Year for your
dedication to our students and their education.
